Preparation for Breastfeeding Class

Many new mothers are unsure about how to breastfeed, while others find themselves frustrated by difficulties they didn't anticipate. Stamford Hosptial's lactation consultants, all IBCLC certified, teach breastfeeding classes and are available to schedule individual consultations, by phone, or in their offices, even after you've taken your baby home. Electronic breast pumps are also available.

Breastfeeding Help and Support

Taught by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) instructor, this class helps families to prepare for a successful start with breastfeeding. Topics include factors to consider when deciding to breastfeed; prenatal breast assessment; how lactation works and techniques to help you get started. Dads and other family members are welcome to attend.
